David has extensive experience assisting senior management teams on strategy, technology, and operational issues.   His industry expertise centers on information technology, media, and policy advocacy, spanning both for-profit and for-benefit sectors.

David’s for-profit leadership experience includes senior corporate roles and executive positions in management consulting. As a partner at Accenture, he led the strategy practice in the North American media and entertainment industry group.  There, he helped global media leaders work through strategic, technological, and organizational challenges raised by digitalization.  As director at Arthur D. Little, Inc. he developed the firm’s west coast information technology practice and led multiple strategic engagements at Apple.  David also was vice president of marketing at Radius, a technology supplier to the imaging and video marketplace.

On the non-profit side, David has worked extensively on sustainability issues.  He co-founded and grew the American Sustainable Business Council, an advocacy organization for leading brands in sustainable business.  David authored a weekly column on sustainability in US News and World Report.

David holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and an A.B. from Harvard.  He lives in San Francisco with his wife Debra, where he enjoys furniture making, photography, and exploring the California coast and mountains.
