Malcolm Wolf

Director

During his 25 years of management consulting, Malcolm has helped corporations around the world maximize their performance by making transformative improvements in the critical areas of strategy, organization and technology. Recent client engagements include:

  • Partnering with the President and leadership team of a global medical devices business to set a new strategic direction for growth, clarify leadership roles and responsibilities, shape a new culture of performance and align and energize the organization to accelerate delivery.
  • Working with the senior leadership of a large international private university group to design an organization capable of executing a very ambitious roadmap for expansion.
  • Directing the world-wide IT and systems integration of a major oil and gas company following what was then the largest merger in industrial history.
  • Designing an organization for a U.S. telecom services business capable of operating a vital part of the national communications infrastructure.

Malcolm is keenly interested in helping leaders make great strategic decisions and working with leadership teams to unlock the power of the organization to make it happen.

Past Experience

Malcolm served as a Partner at McKinsey & Company, where he spent nine years and served clients on a broad range of issues, including strategic change, organization and performance improvement.  He also built and led McKinsey’s IT practice in the U.K.  Earlier, Malcolm was a Partner with KPMG, where he built and led a practice advising clients on M&A deals in the telecom, media and technology sectors. He spent his early career advising clients on IT strategy and technology-enabled business change, and as a scientist. 

Personal

Malcolm is married with two grown sons and has a wide range of cultural and spiritual interests. He loves the English seaside, travel to warm places, and learning from people on less-traveled paths. Malcolm is a mentor to disadvantaged young people for The Prince’s Trust.
