Mike has dedicated his career to identifying and spreading knowledge about what it takes to build High Commitment, High Performance organizations. His work has received many recognitions, including the Society for Human Resources Management with their Lifetime Achievement Award; the Academy of Management with its Distinguished Scholar-Practitioner Award, and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP) with the Distinguished Professional Contributions Award.
Mike’s research-based insights on building great organizations are described in his book, High Commitment, High Performance: How to Build a Resilient Orgnization for Sustained Advantage. In 2011, he also co-authored Higher Ambition: How Great Leaders Create Economic and Social Value with his TruePoint colleagues Tobias Fredberg, Nathaniel Foote, Flemming Norrgren and Russell Eisenstat.
